Our dinnerware, made one piece at a time in our studio in Austin will serve you for years to come. We start with blocks of wet clay and end up with durable, colorful tableware and serving pieces. Available in hundreds of variations between pattern and color, any table you set will be unique. All the colors come from colored clay applied wet on wet. Each piece can have 6 to 7 layers of colored slip to get the pattern. Some patterns take two days to paint. Then by a variety of means the pieces are formed , bisque fired and hand glazed with a clear glaze on top and an opaque black glaze on the bottom and glaze fired. The double firing ensures a good glaze fit and results in a denser, stronger piece. The dinnerware is dishwasher safe and easy to care for. The dinnerware line includes a 12 inch dinner plates, an 8 inch salad or lunch plates, 10 inch wide soup bowls, our 8 inch deep soup bowl, coffee cups, saucers, and tumblers. All these items come in a wide variety of colors, styles, and patterns. There are a range of serving pieces including platters ranging in size from 8 to 32 inches, cake plates, teapots, ewers, deep hondo bowls, oval bowls and bread trays. |
