Claudia Reese started Cera-Mix Studio in 1981, and it has expanded many times since to arrive at its present, hopefully permanent location at the top of a hill on Tumbleweed Trail in Austin, Texas. Cera-Mix Studio is a ceramic wonderland with tile, sculpture, fountains, water catchments systems and gardens all around.

In the studio we are making dinnerware, platters, tiles, sculpture, and many kinds of ceramic necessities. Cera-Mix Studio takes on commissions, does Art in Public Places projects, and culpture as time allows. We work with lots of kids making tiles for libraries and schools, we work with Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and National Charity League girls to make hundreds of bowls for the Empty Bowl project which benefits the Austin Food Bank.
